Maree Kinder, CEO listed as Finalist for the Asian Women of Achievement Award for Entrepreneurship

Founder & CEO of Beauty & Seoul, Maree Kinder, has been listed as a Finalist for the Asian Women of Achievement Award for the category Entrepreneurship. The awards aim to recognise and celebrate the extroadinary achievements of Asian women in Britain today. 

Speaking in reaction to the shortlist which was announced today, Maree Kinder said 'I am so honoured to be listed as a finalist for the Asian Women of Achievement Award for Entrepreneurship. This accolade is particularly meaningful for me. I used to shy away from the fact I was Asian because it was always followed with 'yeah but where are you REALLY from?' and I couldn't answer that without going in to my adoption. As I grew older and more comfortable in my own skin, I now proudly consider myself Korean British. It feels strange calling Beauty & Seoul a business as it is so much more than that. To me, it is first and foremost a connection between me and my motherland. It acts as a constant reminder to myself to embrace who I am, where I'm from, and to trust that sometimes amazing things can grow from moments of despair.'
